Friends of Children in Gomba FCG is dedicated to transforming the lives of orphans, disadvantaged and less privileged children in the rural areas of Gomba district in Uganda by meeting their basic needs and empowering them to break the cycle of poverty.
Organization Vision: To support that disadvantaged child in Gomba district become a better and responsible citizen tomorrow.
Mission: To help the less privileged children in Gomba district with these small items that can make them achieve their goals in life.
Aims
Below are cores FCG is aiming to achieve:
- Access to Quality Education: To provide educational opportunities to all children in need including school supplies, scholarships, and tutoring, to ensure children can attend and succeed in school.
- Health and Well-being: To deliver healthcare, nutrition, and psychosocial support to these children through promoting the physical and emotional health of vulnerable children.
- Protection and Safety: To safeguard children from exploitation, abuse, and neglect by creating safe environments and advocating for the rights of all children regardless of gender, background and financial situation.
- Empowerment for Self-Sufficiency: To equip children with self-sustaining life skills through promoting their talents, vocational training and mentorship to foster independence and resilience for a brighter future.
- Community Development: To work hand in hand with their families and local stakeholders to address systemic barriers to children’s welfare, promoting sustainable change in our Gomba District.
